Is alcohol abuse a problem in teens? There is a lot of information available on alcohol abuse and its influence on teens. Parents and teenagers need to be aware of the circumstances that may influence teenage drinking and the potential warning signs of drinking and alcohol addiction. Signs and symptoms of alcohol problems in teen are missing school and work because of being hung over, having an increased tolerance to , drinking to deal with the stress of home, school, work and using alcohol as a mechanism to deal with life.

Alcoholics Anonymous states when a person’s drinking impacts there day to day function and alters their relationships there could be potential for addiction. It is important to stress that it should not take getting pulled over by the police to realize that drinking has caused life to be unmanageable, but rather it is better to be aware of warning signs of alcoholism and the impact of stress, peer pressure on teens.

Once alcohol addiction is identified, there are many options and resources available to assist the teen and their families cope with the disease of alcohol addiction and as well as the circumstances related to teenage drinking and alcohol abuse.
